The finalists are France, who surprised Sweden 14:7 and routed Great Britain 50:0 and Germany who beat Austria 22:20 in a nail-biter and overcame Finland 23:4 after a slow start in the first half.

(From EFAF news)  France held on to win its opening game in the European championships. The French defeated the defending European champions Sweden 14-7 in a closely fought game where both offenses struggled. The deciding score was wide receiver Jeremy Rabot´s long touchdown pass in the third quarter.

Germany has won the opening game of the 2010 European Championship. The game was close as expected with Germany squeaking by 22:20.

With about 5000 people watching, in a game that was hard to beat in terms of excitement, it came down to the wire and the kicking leg of Benjamin Scharweit as the Berlin Adler won the championship game of the European Football League.
